‘Trayvoning’ Photo Trend Sweeps Across Social Media, Sparking Outrage

Replacing the online photo trends of “planking” and “Tebowing,” a wave of “Trayvoning” photos make light of Trayvon Martin’s death following the acquittal of George Zimmerman.

The photos show people as they lie face down on the ground next to a can of iced tea and a bag of Skittles – the items found alongside the body of Trayvon after the shooting. A photo of his dead body was mistakenly aired on live TV by MSNBC and HLN during coverage of the Zimmerman trial.
